A Bridal Tea

My brother is getting married at the end of September, so this past weekend I went home for his Fiancés Bridal tea that my mom hosted. I avoid the wedding world of Pinterest, as I am a very single lady, but I know I haven’t heard much about these gatherings. It all starts with very light food. My mom had some little pastries made (I scooped out the insides to avoid any bread; #glutenfreeingenuitiy) and since it was so hot instead of real tea the joke was Twisted Tea.  Jess, though gorgeous, is certainly not a girly-girl, so the bottles of ultra sugary malt beverages were appreciated.

At the end of the day, here is what I could surmise: a bridal tea it was just a fancy sounding excuse for the majority of people to get a mild buzz, which I didn’t see much of a downside too.  It was laid back, fun, and everyone got to see each other and hang out by the pool. Plus we had the most delicious Petit Fours, which were made with a very non-gluten free blend flour, but sometimes you have to remember “what is pleasure without pain?”
